20 months ago I googled "quit drinking" and my journey began. If one person reads something and it helps them, shows them, inspires them to follow this path of sobriety then I am happy.

Honestly I loose track. My last post says 20 months but it should be 34 I think.
Hell, year 4 starts June 2. That date will live in infamy. I will never forget that night June 2, 2006 and my suicide attempt. My attempt to join my son. Never.

The rise continues with incredible results.

Mother Russia. The greatest battle ever fought with over 4 million dead. The world is shaped the way it is today because of that battle. It was the turning point in a seemingly completely hopless struggle. The battle was won at an incredible cost.

What a sad month for me. Many tears. I often wonder how I would have fared if not sober. Poorly I suspect. I will never know of course.

I still see the sad effects of alcohol on our society. It re affirms my quit and often makes me think of this place. I will never win the global war but my war is won. It's a start.
