been a rough week for deaths.....
well.......like the title says....its been a rough week..Greeneyes died, whom i could so relate to.....then another friend of mine died in a car accident(not substance abuse related) then just this afternoon, i received news that a very close friend and coworker was crushed to death, by all things, a roll away garbage dumpster...this is a man i worked side by side for years with...leaves behind a wife, three little girls, and this was a man who gave me my first bible....helped me to find God, before i lost God again through my divorce....This man was pure, clean, well loved, and gets crushed by a rollaway Garbage dumpster? a Church elder, a man who gave everything he had to helping others? i hate it.....
I'm so sorry Losteverything, this must be a very hard time for you!
Maybe you can dedicate your sobiety to your very close friend. Now is the time to hang in there for sure. Do it for him. I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted to see you give up all the hard work because he died.
I'll be thinking about you!
Big hug,
Philip

Did I read that correctly? Can someone please reply or PM and let me know what happened to Greeneyes?? Thank you.
Losteverything-I am so very sorry for your recent losses. It is never easy when someone vacates a special place in our world. Whenever someone I know passes away it always reminds me of how important it is to cherish each and every day and live our lives to the fullest...which cannot be done while drinking in excess.
Take care.

First I'm very sorry for you.
Second, this topic was brought up at a meeting and someone was dealing with the loss of someone special. The reply that stuck out was, "The best gift you can give that person now is sobriety."
I wish you the best,
PR
