Bradshaw has a book entitled "Toxic Shame"
It is meant to be healing and loving, but wheew! it just had me crying and bummed out about life, myself, my family hopelessly!
Well, I read it when I was grieving...so maybe I wouldn't take it so hard now.
I know it is important work. We learned who we are, what we are, what we like, what we don't, how to act,...all the prototypes were given to us growing up....
We do all have to go there and understand
But I doubt this process is ever completed.
So, understand and forgive me if my reaction is less than eager.
It is hard work. It can be painful. But every time we turn a corner AHA we free ourselves up some.
