My dad gambles
Hi,
I'm new here and really really sad. I'm an Adult Child of a Gambler. I'm 35 and today was really a hard day, I went with Mom today to two different casinos where we found my Dad and brought him home.
I hate gambling so much, it's been around my home for the last longer than I want to remember. Today, I physically had to get between my Dad and Mom. I really never knew I could be so sad.
I feel so very alone in all this. I was even blaming myself for a little while today, as I moved back home last year.
Is there any hope?

There is hope if your father wants to change. You didn't cause it, you can't control it and you can't cure it. What can you do? You can take care of you. You can remove yourself from the middle of a problem which is not yours by fault and which you can do nothing to change.
While AlAnon was originally designed for the loved ones of alcoholics, the principles hold true for pretty much any kind of toxicity/addiction. I would suggest you look into it.
