Class of March 2016 part 34
Send some sleep fairies my way, Misfits.
Maybe cleaning fairies while you're at it? Hehe.
For real though, so good to see everyone here and posting. LB hope your night is turning around.
I got root beer float ice cream to try in awhile.

Feeling good and enjoying the days posts - some pretty heady stuff here to be sure. I always liked the quote/note/statistic that we can not measure 99% of the universe - we just infer it is there from what we can measure.
I have two reactions to this: 1) Jeepers, we don't really know much about our own reality do we? and 2) how do they calculate 99% of infinity?
To me, there is no doubt some great energy we all belong to - but we'll never understand it. I like the thought of puffing myself up with knowledge and then filling myself up with love.
Other than that, just trying to deal with my addiction to the booze -making it one more day!
And doing yard work today listening to the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin - yes, I am that old

I'll take some sleep fairies, too - after I have a root beer float (darn, I don't have have root beer)
Yep- when late night TV ads call Led Zep 'classic rock'....a bit sad.
Sobriety, a nice day and the means to do stuff is good, is it not MITA, my old friend (sorry- been watching LOTR satire).

Led Zep is both Classic and classic - I can live with that.
FTR, the lyrics to possibly my most favorite song ever (it is hard to choose!) If I knew the way, I would take you home.
Grateful Dead - Ripple (Garcia/Hunter)
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung
Would you hear my voice come through the music
Would you hold it near as it were your own?
It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken
Perhaps they're better left unsung
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air
[Chorus]
Ripple in still water
When there is no pebble tossed
Nor wind to blow
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full may it be again
Let it be known there is a fountain
That was not made by the hands of men
There is a road, no simple highway
Between the dawn and the dark of night
And if you go no one may follow
That path is for your steps alone
[Chorus]
You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home

PJ, I am picking up the trilogy this week and reading it - might take me more than a week . Then maybe I'll watch the movies. Thanks for giving me a new project!!
Stairway to Heaven is still my number 1 favorite song.
Followed by Shambala. That gets stuck in my head, love it.
I grew up with my parents' classic rock, and my friends listening to Phish and DMB and the like. Phish heads.

(Sorry, couldn't resist - pretty corny)
MITA yes occasionally (hahahahahaha) but now I'm just ..."Trying to stop these demons that keep dancing in my head." (Ironic that one of my fav songs was Down With Disease.)
Yeah, corny when you write it out haha! Lot of catchy, funky songs and lyrics though.
Root beer float ice cream was....ok I guess! I actually wish I just put it in a glass of root beer tho.
Edited: thanks for that Lillian haha! I like that that song has different tempos!!

LG- still think RPlant had the classic, THE classic heavy rock hair. If I had hair like that, I would probably be arrested. Of course the mother of all music, from ancient civilisation , Greece, medieval times and Eurovision- has to be Pink F.
And with that - good night ....
