Unexplained bruises, cuts and black eyes. Lost one shoe or both.
Yup this is typical for people with a booze problem!
Everytime I am walking the street and I see one shoe on the ground, I think to myself, there goes a drunkard. Or I see a person with a black eye, or 2 black eyes. Typical for us drunkards!

Lostgirl, have you thought of calling your EAP line at work and getting help that way? Maybe with an inpatient or outpatient program? They would protect your privacy and help you find a program. But it sounds like you're getting to the point where you have to make a decision to stop completely, one way or another.

I was asking. Maybe dehydration?
Keepin it simple... no, drinking causes it. Why complicate it with what alcohol does to your body? Sounds to me like you're just doing a number on yourself. I had to remind myself to KISS to get brutally honest. Honesty and willingness are key.
Yeah it is scary and it's a horrible situation to be in but also so avoidable.
I slipped up on the last day of November (have been clean since) and I spent 3 days with zero sleep, heart racing, mind racing, shaking like a shitting dog, just waiting for a seizure to hit.
It's a bit different for me because i've had the seizures before so i'm now more susceptible to them than most, but it's so frustrating when you put yourself in that position knowing full well what the consequences might be.
