Back in my own bed, feels good. Got to travel agin for work tomorrow though.

Back in the hotel after an off site company event.
There were three separate indoor bars with individual themes- and three outdoor walk up bars. Thinking back, I never went overboard at these types of events since I valued my job. But I can imagine how difficult these situations must be for others.
Anyway, I enjoyed the food, made an appearance, and hopped on the first bus back.
Let's keep moving forward.

1Step, glad to hear you got right back on track.
It is snowing again! Monday was a tough one, but I was plowed and shoveled out, and the roads were fine yesterday. I was really hoping this would be a mild winter after last year.
As you know, the snow reminds me of being trapped inside last year with my brother calling and calling. He has not phoned me since Christmas Eve, but he has texted general messages to all of us. On Christmas Eve I told him he would not be in the same ridiculous mess if he had moved out last year like I told him to. I was so frustrated, I really let him have it. And, I think the only thing my tirade did was make him decide not to phone me.....which, sad to say, is a relief to me. Those calls tormented me and put me on the verge of panic attacks. They lead to my having my doctor prescribe medication for three months because of the intense anxiety. I have no idea how he is doing, and the snow makes me worry about him and brings out feelings of intense guilt for not being there for him, , but I am keeping my distance. Unfortunately, he does not seem willing to get out of the situation, and I am no help to him, while his phone calls did a terrible job on me.
As you can see, the snow brings this all up. It might be time for me to find a winter home in the south - but, nowhere near Dallas ! LOL ! !

So a bunch of my district was pretty hung over today. One guy said he only stopped shaking an hour ago.
These annual meetings with open bars and no family obligations can certainly cause some havok and/or amplify bad Habbits.

OMG a lot of you guys are still here and still going strong! I don't know if you remember me but I joined this group a while back.Its been a terrible struggle since then but I have finally admitted to myself that I am an alcoholic and I need support to stay sober.
I want to come back to this class if that's ok with everyone? I am currently 17 days sober x

Ultra, you have to feel wonderful man, well done. I went to lunch with folks yesterday, they talked a lot about some recent convention they went to, drinking was the main activity for some people. I did not feel like doing that again at all, hard to even contemplate now, but guard always up.
Gotta jump folks, let's start looking forward to Friday baby!
