Another 24 Please
I joined SR yesterday. Last night I tossed and turned, had trouble falling asleep. What I realized this morning is that feeling a little tired is way better than feeling hungover.
I am going to commit to another 24 hours, have a great day!

9:42 am and I am in for another sober 24 hours. I got overwhelmed with work: did 3 shifts back to back including an overnight, staff meeting and had a trainee!!!
I completely forgot to sign up but I am still sober and grateful
When I had work marathons like that, I could not wait to be home so I could drink till I passed out. These days, I go home make myself some tea and post on SR before going to bed and sleeping properly giving my body some well deserved real rest.
The quote of the day is by one of my heroes and so beautiful and true

Good evening, everyone! Made it through my Monday – rather full of human interactions for me, but that’s something sobriety has brought me, and I’m learning how to appreciate it, and how to keep it from driving me bats
Congratulations, SnoozyQ ! and all other celebrants!
Thanks to everyone for sharing their commitment to sobriety for the day, and their thoughts and inspirations. Here’s the list of those who’ve shown their commitment to sobriety by posting on this thread since about 8:30 p.m. EST July 27:

A couple of days ago I posted a picture of a great white egret. Here’s a very beautiful flower named the white egret flower, the wild orchid Habenaria radiata. It’s native to Japan, China and Korea and apparently becoming rare in the wild due to increased agricultural use of its habitat marshlands. Here's a picture, just because a thing of beauty is a joy forever.
