24-Hour Recovery Connections - Everyone Welcome - Part 8
Congratulations to the those celebrating today! . Another very hot day. My Sponsor and my sober sister came over today for our meeting....too hot to sit on the porch though. A Beatles tribute band is playing in the park tonight. My hubby is up there with his band mate to listen. Me? Home...I'm a lightweight with the mosquito's. I thought it was my Cabernet blood...but they love me sober too!
Yep....I will sign in for another 24 hours of my recovery...thanks HP & AA.

I feel the love in my heart
Thank you Purpleknight and Courage2 for some great music this morning which accentuates that love feeling that comes from living sober in recovery by the grace of God almighty.
So another 24 is as easy as rolling off a log in Maryland today.

Toots in for a rainy 24
For anyone who struggled and slipped over the weekend, get up, dust yourself down, and let us give you the strength to start again. You can do it.

Welcome SnowDawg and other new folks to this thread.
Dee, I love that image of us all walking side by side...thanks!
Thanks to all who share and post here.
I ended up making an interesting pasta sauce out of chickpeas (garbanzo beans) simmered in broth with shallots and garlic. Once soft I blended it until smooth. It was interesting and a nice meatless alternative. Will work on tweaking it a bit in the future, but at least I tried something new yesterday.
Grateful to be here for another 24 hours. Just about 7 am in North Carolina and time to get ready for work. Take care!
