Morning Gratitude ~ Part 43
Grateful for a long day.....and a sober day. Nice to know I can be up until nearly midnight without having a drink! Headlump - you have a friend that is 101? I'm happy to make it to 44!
Grateful for all the posts here, they sure make me smile.
Goodnight all!

Grateful to be up early playing with Ode, our foster cat. He seems to like chasing strands of tall grass around the room.
Grateful to have a day off work.
Grateful to be able to watch the mist rise over the valley as the sun comes up.

Grateful to be dressed and pressed and posting before coffee, toast/cheese, and orange scented prunes for breakfast. Read the post and work the Sudoku. Spiritual Readings with my wife then off to an AA meeting on traditions from the 12 and 12.
Grateful for the daily rewards of living in recovery from my illness/alcoholism/nicotine addiction.

Grateful to be up early, hangover free, and cooking some eggs and veggies before my 6:45 AA meeting. Grateful for the sound of the skillet on the stove.
Grateful for my current living space.
Grateful for the taste and smell of coffee.
Grateful that in my new living situation, I'm about 3 minutes away by bike from my meeting- giving me plenty of time in the morning.
Grateful to be alive and sober this morning.

Grateful to have a job that helps me to live independently and in a home with a view which I've wanted since I was a little girl. (A rather long time ago! Lol)
Grateful sobriety makes it all possible. Sobriety permits me to be humble and accept all the help it took for me to get to today.
Grateful for my health everyday and for the memory of my dear mother.

Grateful to have finally had my physio appointment
Grateful that I don't have a rotator cuff injury after all - it's a frozen shoulder!
Grateful that I'll still be under 60 by the time I can undo my bra strap again!

Grateful for SR posts that always inspire me in one way or another. I am a bit overwhelmed right now and SR certainly helps center me and remember my primary purpose is SOBRIETY.
Grateful that I can turn to my Higher Power for His Will for me today.
Grateful to have my humble abode and independence. Lucky to have my lovely Cat Tixie, who is great company and almost always a loving Cat. She has her moments!

How could I forget
Yesterday was my daughter Ds' birthday. She was born on July 29, 1957, third oldest of my 6 children.
Thank you God for my daughter D who passed away at age 30 from an overdose of alcohol and drugs.
She is still alive in my heart which makes her the most important reason that I am sober today or I would not be here.
Pain brought me here, love keeps me here.

Grateful to be able to share memories of D with Grtgrandpa. I was 2 years old when D was born so we shared similar cultures growing up. Hugs Grtgrandpa.
Grateful for another lovely day waking up full of energy not full of a hangover.

Grateful for another day to do the best I can.
Grateful for 14 weeks alcohol free, I no longer have to struggle with "I wish I didn't drink so much". What a relief to wake up each morning without regrets.
Grateful that my spiritual life is growing daily.
