Thursday at the Met: I don’t have much to say about this painting, called Young Woman Drawing (1801). The artist is Marie–Denise Villers. I used to think this painting was silly. Then I started to find it comfortable, like something I could live with. Today she looks luminous to me. Has the painting changed, or….?

courage2, I look forward to your posts about art every day. So interesting. I liked that one of the girl drawing. I agree it is luminous. I like the two people in the background.
