Day 5:
All withdrawals are done with.
Seeing my little girl today.
Yay!!!!
Staying in my mother's at present and she's spending the night there with me.
And there are two world cup games today.
It's gonna be a good one.

Day 6.
Feeling good.
My wife came to collect my daughter.
She was much more talkative.
I put my plan to her and she accepted it but needs some time away from me. I accept that.
2 more World Cup games today.
And a nice steak dinner planned.
Sobriety is the life for me.
Got a text at 4am from a buddy at a stag night.
I'd rather be in Iraq.

Day 7: In work, feeling good.
Going home for a little bit tomorrow to see my daughter.
Hopfully my wife will agree to me coming home soon, but that's out of my hands.

Day 8.
Really busy day and night in work.
I completely nailed it.
Three difficult service users all accounted for and in their beds by 11pm.
AND all relevant paperwork up to date.

Day 9.
In work.
Feeling great.
Looking at a new way of viewing sobriety.
My old way didn't work.

Day 11.
Had a serious talk with my wife last night.
I'm going home today!
She set firm conditions and I willingly agreed.
I'm so happy.
I see my CBT therapist later today.
She always gives good insight into my way of thinking around certain things and how I can change it.
Positivity ahoy!!!!

My first evening home.
My little girl comes to the door with her friend. He's a year older. He'd just punched her front tooth out!
I was an oasis of calm.

Day 12.
I've a long day in work ahead.
But then a week off.
Things are good.

Day 16.
My daughter (7), is really nervous around me.
She's watching for signs of me acting weird.
She has not been exposed to anybody acting drunk apart from me on two occasions. I know it scared the hell out of her.
Spoke to my therapist about it and she said the best thing to do is to offer constant reassurance.
She will learn to trust me by watching me act sober.
I wish I could take it back.
The thoughts of me fukking my little girl up are killing me.
But I have to respond like an adult.
My addict brain wants to make it all better now.
But time is the key.

Life is good.
My people are good.
Work is a pain in the ass, but you can't have it all!
