While I have a handful of thousands plus days sober, more importantly I am enjoying a great sober day today. And as the guy falling off the ten story building said as he passed the 5th floor window, "so far so good" today.

choices to make
and the wrong ones choosing !
Dear Lord, I prayed and prayed
till I had no more to say
finally surrendered---I am sober
God has taken the desire away !

I only have 9 days sober. But it's my record since becoming an alcoholic, and I'm really grateful for it.

my Sponsor has well over 20 years sober
and each and every day he knows exactly how many days sober he has
I have not a memory like that
so I enjoy coming here occasionally
taking a look at my on the computer desktop sober date
let's see what it says for today
