17 years on SR and 8+ years off alcohol
It took me some time but, I did it.
I'm not completely sober off everything, but the alcohol is what was killing me.
8+ years off alcohol, 1.5 years off heroin & 9 months off methadone.
Slowly reducing the benzos.
Its better than 2015 when I mixed all 4. I know I'll get there.
Thanks for the advice, even if I dismissed it, I'm sure it all sank in and helped

Congrats buddy.I signed onto SR 16 1/2 years ago, 11 months sober now.
It's never too late to turn our life around and you proved it, good going on you.

I've been on SR for 8+ years now and it took me a long time to get sober from alcohol. I kept going back and forth but hung in there because I hated the way I was feeling.
Congrats to you and your perseverance! So proud of you, really, that is a tough nut to crack.
