Where I was
Hi everyone, I would love to share my story about how I found this website and this community.
I found sober recovery about a month ago. I read some posts, looked at it, and didn't think much of it. However, I knew it existed as an outlet and tool for my needs, IF I needed help. A month ago, I thought I was above help, and life for that matter.
I got home today around 8am from a night that turned out NOT how I wanted it to. Full of alcohol, drugs, my old drug dealers, "friends" I don't even like as people, etc etc. It was a terrible scene. I got home and hopped in bed and remembered this existed.
This is my third post and after my first I have already received positive and useful feedback. I am in love with this type of open, honest communication between addicts. I know now that I have a place to turn to online if I don't have a physical presence to watch over me. Thank you everyone!

Thank you for sharing your story.
I'm brand new here and really hoping to clean up my life before I lose the ones I love.
It's not easy feeling like a mess, especially when you've caused it
