18 months yesterday

This morning I have 547 days since my last drink, and I'm starting my 19th month. I've been here each morning most of that time, although I haven't posted recently. I wanted to tell all of you that reading your posts has played a big part in my sobriety, and I'm grateful to you for this support.

But I've also learned that being truly sober isn't the same as just not drinking. It's a fundamental change of body, mind and spirit -- something I've begun to enjoy but on which I still work every day. So this seems like a good time to again confirm my commitment, not just to avoiding alcohol, but to becoming a truly sober person. For your help in this, again, I'm sincerely grateful.

(I know I'm several months late here), but very well said, you hit the nail on the head! And congrats on whatever time you have now.
