If you could...

... for just one day, trade places with anyone, at any time in history, who would you choose?

I pick three.

Galileo.
Vincent van Gogh.
Edmund Hillary.

How about you?

Wow. That's a thought-provoking question you got there!!! Well, as long as I could change back to me (and keep what I learned), I'd go for Albert Einstein, the apostle Paul, and my daughter on the day she was born.

I'd like to trade places with the 18 year old I was. The boy that had dreams that, the drugs and alcohol took away . The only way, i can get them back is to get young people coming in here to stop b 4 they wake up at 40 and wonder what might have been

Hmmm, just for one day now...

Just for one day, it would be nice to know how these women thought, and share their interesting lives.

Chris, your post reminds me of a song I am hearing in my head now that I always loved. Words and music by bob seger

    Stood there boldly
    Sweatin’ in the sun
    Felt like a million
    Felt like number one
    The height of summer
    I’d never felt that strong
    Like a rock

    I was eighteen
    Didn’t have a care
    Working for peanuts
    Not a dime to spare
    But I was lean and
    Solid everywhere
    Like a rock

    My hands were steady
My eyes were clear and bright
    My walk had purpose
My steps were quick and light
    And I held firmly
To what I felt was right
    Like a rock

Like a rock, I was strong as I could be
Like a rock, nothin’ ever got to me
Like a rock, I was something to see
    Like a rock

    And I stood arrow straight
    Unencumbered by the weight
Of all these hustlers and their schemes
I stood proud, I stood tall
    High above it all
I still believed in my dreams

    Twenty years now
    Where’d they go?
    Twenty years
    I don’t know
    Sit and I wonder sometimes
    Where they’ve gone

    And sometimes late at night
When I’m bathed in the firelight
The moon comes callin’ a ghostly white
    And I recall
    Recall

Like a rock. standin’ arrow straight
Like a rock, chargin’ from the gate
Like a rock, carryin’ the weight
    Like a rock

Lihe a rock, the sun upon my skin
Like a rock, hard against the wind
Like a rock, I see myself again
    Like a rock

My very first thought to that question was 'My Mom' so I'll go with that!!

I have a lot of unanswered questions as to the choices she made in her life and I would love to know the truth of the legacy she has left me. She is very closed and becomes easily upset when questioned about the past. I will probably never know what truth lies behind me but I am learning to let go and love her more each day.

I'd also like to know what it felt like to be one of the earlier inhabitants on Earth.
A cro magnon hunter maybe, standing on top of a plateau somewhere in central Europe, looking out over a plain.

So Dan would like to become a wine for a day.
Have his ear cut off the next day.
Then on day three have the name Hillary? (wonder if Hillary Clinton was named after him?) *LOL* She took a backpack bundle (Bill) and climbed Capital Hill

Adam... so I could tell Eve to not eat the apple.
    If that didn't work...
Moses so I could warn him of the loss of the promise land by hitting the rock.

and if I was to be as unselfish as can possibly ever be....
Go back and warn my wife to run when she first met me so she wouldn't of had to put up with me till I learned the better way of life. Then again she is who she is and would have taken a ragged old puppy in off the street all the same.
