That's funny Dragon!

Hoping the rain holds off tomorrow. We are cooking out and will have lots of family milling around.

Best wishes for a good weekend all!

LOL CK I love that Caturday pic

Gotta drop wife's car off at shop, then I'm gonna sit on the couch and watch Atlas and Dune part 2 before I head off to work a ball game. Happy weekend y'all!

Morning earlies. Still a little chilly out. I have to go to the dreaded Walgreens today. They are closed Sunday, so if I miss today I have to go Monday. Sometimes the only way I can get certain things done there is to go there and then wait 1-2 hours while they try to get my scripts done. It's just so frustrating. Anyway, I'll get through it one way or another.
Love the kitty pics!
Gatorman, hope you're doing ok after your week of chemo. Sending love and prayers!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

LOL Alpine. Glorious sunshine out there this morning changing to 'Risk of Thunderstorms' later in the day. Gotta get outside!

Yesterday, there was an article in the Winnipeg Free Press about the downtown Holy Trinity church which is in dire need of 7million in repairs. They just happened to have an open house so I went. My family were parishioners back in the '70's and I have memories of being in a pagent. My dad had made a lamb and a camel from chicken wire and paper mâché. He was also one of the wise men and we were both dressed in period costumes. My one line was point and say 'Look!'. I think I was pointing at the star of Bethlehem.

Anyhow, it's a beautiful gothic style stone building built in 1884. Apparently, it was only designed to be used for 40 years, not 140. It's sinking and cracking in places. They have a gorgeous pipe organ. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find any sound samples online. They play it for our tour and I was nearly in tears.

Up early this morning.

That is a beautiful building Dragon and a wonderful memory. It looks peaceful and calming. Hope it gets saved.

Aly it’s always something. I transferred my scripts to a local pharmacy downtown but the hours are not convenient. 8-5 and half days on Saturday. How did Walgreens go yesterday?

Gdaughter’s graduation party is this afternoon. I’m not enthused with the venue in a drinking club but it’s not my business I guess. The graduation ceremony was nice Friday and the weather cooperated. Today the dreaded wind with 50mph gusts hits so thankfully the party is inside.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

We'll take any rain you can send our way and be grateful for it!

That is a gorgeous church, STD! Reminds me a bit of one of the churches in Boston.

I got a few hundred chairs to set up this morning for tonight's concert. Small breakfast down the hatch, coffee to go. Afterwards I'm meeting the fam for brunch.

The old Truman Brewery - on that site from 1666 to 1989, you could smell the hops from half a mile away. Not too unpleasant but I don't miss it either. It's a centre for creative industries now.

Ha yes Sao, I remember this café!

I went to read on "Brick Lane" (curious from your bagels store picture...)

It was once said that if you’d had your bike stolen in London you’d probably find it being sold at Brick Lane market and be able to buy it back.
Thankfully, after a crackdown by the police, Brick Lane festivals and markets are now less about the bikes and more about the vintage clothes and accessories, furniture and food.

(from "Eating Europe")

Thanks for these pictures!

Sao, love the pics! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a nice day and fun. Sort of reminds me of the fairs they would have on Haight Ashbury sometimes when I lived there. They were so much fun and a feeling of neighborhood.
Val, thanks for asking, I didn't make it to Walgreens yesterday. Then someone reminded me about Memorial Day and I'm wondering if they'll be open Monday. Oh well, I guess I'll just be a little short if they are closed two days in a row. Whomever is running that show has got a screw loose. How are you? Any presents from the kitty?
The Sunday paper didn't get here today. I called and left a message that we needed our Sunday paper, whether we get one or not remains to be seen. The paper person has been a teeny bit better lately but not delivering the Sunday paper is pretty bad. I'll check later to see if it gets delivered. If it does, bet it ends up under the car. I'm still sending him/her good vibes and a prayer now and then. It must be hard to go through life being such a jerk.
So glad to see you all and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Gator, thinking of you! Hope you're feeling well and can enjoy the weekend.
Love and peace to all of you.

Lovely church Dragon Old ornate wooden buildings are cool. A big pipe organ sound must be nice.
Sao, looks to be nice day there with people out supporting the economics of the town.
Aly, Hope the paper delivery improves.

Speak of bad paper delivery. Here is one of my packages arriving to my home.

Overcast with noon clearing or just overcast all day. I have to look at the weather satellite picture to tell better. First coffee of the day up next. All is managed well here in The Nard, Ry being a good buddy as always. Make it a nice day for yourself and the others around you.
