Right now, about 300 geese are gathered on the lake outside my window, grouping up for the migration that will take place in another month or two. They are quacking, and forming groups and practicing "wing" formations....and it is absolutely beautiful.

A couple of years ago I would not have noticed. I would be too buried in fear and dread of another day, to even notice the beauty that each new day brought.

Today, I make a point of noticing. Today I am grateful.
