My sister and her husband are addicts, they have three children who are suffering immeasurably from their addictions. I need to know what to do. These kids are hurting and I don't know how to help. Please anyone who can offer resources or advice.

I would suggest that both the parents go into formal treatment to help themselves and the children. If they refuse to go into treatment, see if they attend Narcotics anonymous meetings and at least attempt to stop thru the help of other recovering addicts. For yourself and all the heartaches this must cause you. I suggest you find a meeting for you www.alanon.org is a good place to start also the naranon meetings. There is a naranon discussion board on this site hosted by broken. Go to her page and post your concerns, you may her really helpful.
