Addiction reaches from the grave
Meth took his life
http://www.scotty-simmons.memory-of.com
Today we remember him
If you are using
and
You think that
You are only
Hurting yourself
Think again
You are gone, but your addiction is still hurting people
The family and friend you left behind
carry the pain of your death with
them for the rest of their lives
Pain fades in time, but the memory
will always be there ..............
Please don't hurt yourself or your family any more than you already have
Death offers no second chance
Seek recovery today!

Passion
Passion, I will be saying special prayers for Scott and for all who loved him today on the anniversary of his death. My son is a meth addict and the message you carry is powerful and if it helps one single person get off that drug then it will all have been worthwhile.

Wow, no words for the site and the rememberance. It was hard to read the site and have those feelings stir up again.
My Mom died Dec. 19th, 2003, my Uncle 3 months later - due to drugs. I OD'd 3x and almost didn't make it my last stint in ICU before I finally got clean (god, that was hard to type, thinking of what she must have went through)
Thanks for spreading the message.
I too have been compelled to try and help others and spread the message. Since being in recovery I have been able to be a part of our Area Service Committee and am the PI (Public Information) and the H&I (Hospitals and Institutions) Chair for Narcotics Anonymous. Me and others in the program. speak at the local prison, hospitals, and treatment centers to all that will listen, and have me, in hopes someone will see themselves in me, or don't want to go as far as I did, AND see it is possible to recovery.
We also let them know about KCI.ORG in hopes that when they get out they will use it, even if they are high and just want something to do. Hopefully it will help them find recovery, before death.
Jails, Institutions, and Death......is a reality, not a threat.
Thanks for allowing me feel through your post, and the linked website.
Another grateful addict, thankful to be in recovery another 24 hours,
Chad H.
