Jethro and the rest of my family gave up a long time ago trying to get me to go to bed early!
I'm retired with no worries now! I sleep when I want to and wake up when I want to! Unless of course there's an appointment I have to be at early in the day! UGH!
Oh Yeah! I was talking with our cable company the other day and this woman told me she has a good friend that has the same kind of chickens we do. The woman keeps them in an acclimated area! AC during the summer and heat during the winter! Gotta keep a list of these special ppl so when I have to get Jethro another baby to love? I'll have a list of ppl to call!
Although? Molly has already proven she'd gladly sleep snuggled up with him! LOL Chinese Silkies are snugglers!

No matter what positives or negatives are happening on a day to day basis? There are those of us that aren't having to go thru it at the same time! So yes it helps to enjoy each others company and have some fun!
Lord knows there's enough grief in the world to bring us all down if we let it! I try to stay upbeat and positive! It seems I've lived a lifetime with what all I've been thru already! I want to enjoy life at this point! I'm 54 yrso already! I don't know how long I have to live either! So why live my life in a dark negative way?
I've seen my fair share of grief and only want to give postive things back!

Lord knows there's enough grief in the world to bring us all down if we let it! I try to stay upbeat and positive! It seems I've lived a lifetime with what all I've been thru already! Well I took Molly outside! She spent two minutes out there and started crying! "Momma? It's wet out here and I'm a city chicken! Get me back inside and put me to bed in my clothes basket with my warm fuzzy blanket"! And that's exactly where she's at!
Mr. Cotton was turned loose in the chicken bedroom while I got his crate cleaned up and all his food/water bowls cleaned and refilled! I got his hay misted with mint to freshen it up too! So now he's back in a clean crate and I'm going to start shutting the house down!
I've been up long enough and Jethro will wake me in a few hours to hand Maria over to me to put her in her spot on my bed!
Good night to those going to bed and good morning to those just waking up!

So glad to finally get back here and see all the laughter welcome Lost and yes, we must see pictures of new furbabies. Good to see you back here, Tom. You've been missed.
Sorry to be the downer but Mr. C is not doing well at all. Has had nothing to eat or drink since he came home 20 hours ago. Very dehydrated and I've been giving any liquid I can to him, by syringe, as often as I can.
He'd been pretty out of it, due to heavy meds, and I did sleep, but got up every hour or so to make sure he was breathing. He was burning up when he got there, DIL brought over the easy thermometer you scan the forehead and temporal area. Temp was 103.6-103.8!! I go it back to the 98's.
I drank 2 cups of real coffee, had to add sugar, and now I'm wide awake. On the deck with the cats, about to take the Golden fatsos back in for some snuggle time then am going back to spend the night.
Hospice nurse is coming by, some time. I told her how things were going. Am giving him Tylenol and morphine as he cries out in pain when I try to move him.
On a good note, mama C slept "like a log" all night and this former major opiate user has no desire to dip into the morphine.
I kissed Mr. C on the forehead, told him I love him, as always. He was out of it, but I asked him "do you still love me?" and he said "yes I do".
This is hard, but I can handle it. I'm being paid, have got my past due phone bill down from over $400 to $61 and it will drop on the 26th.
Dad is taking the only TN run on Sunday, I am going to church and then watch mom-Kay and hubby renew vows.
