My Neighbour The Addict ,

She lived next door for 16 years.
She had a son …. when he was young I heard him crying “No more mum ..no more please”.
She had a lot of undesirable visitors.
Her car was burnt out.
She was broken into a number of times.
She was assaulted.
She was a good athlete as a kid.
She grew up in America.
She had support … occasionally there were big clean ups at her flat leased to her by a local church.
She had a cute dog … my dogs little friend.
She would come to us for help … when we could we would help her out.
She drank a lot.
She used other drugs.
Her son went no contact with her years ago.
Until 2 weeks ago … she overdosed…..he came home from University to bury her…
His mum ….. The addict.
...............she was cremated as a back burner .

Looking back, that so easily could have been me in earlier times, and earlier houses.

thanks for sharing that LSC. I hope this woman is at peace now.
