Hotline for seeking residential rehab centers in Miami, Florida
Hello,
Posted on this forum just over a year ago regarding a crisis involving a family member and heroin use.
The problem continues and we want to find an appropriate and quality residential rehab center for that particular family member that's compatible with his insurance and won't bankrupt the family. We're looking to have him involuntarily committed via Florida's Marchman Act but we need to find a facility for him.
Does anyone know of a good central hotline or website that can assist me in finding the right facility?
Thank you!

I'm not in the US but these numbers should help
The National Drug and Alcohol Treatment Referral Routing Service available at 1-800-662-HELP (4357). This service can provide you with information about treatment programs in your local community and allow you to speak with someone about alcohol problems
Hopeline-dot-com has free 1-800 line that will connect any caller in the US who needs help to a certified crisis center nearest the caller's location. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The number is:
1- 800-784-2433

A step back and a "tough love" stance may be a more positive approach, especially if you indeed don't want to bankrupt your family. The bankruptcy you're committed to wanting to prevent isn't just financial...it also can be inclusive of the mental and emotional commitment being co-dependent on a loved one's addiction.
While it may certainly be appropriate to have a list of possible facilities on hand, the actual use of them might be better spent for when the patient is willingly committing themselves to the task at hand.
