Breaking out..
I am 39 days off opiates today. I have been sober one other time in the 10 plus years of opiate use. Like the last time I got clean, I'm breaking out.. They are really painful boil like breakouts on my face, neck, and back. I've never had acne or pimple problems before. Any suggestions, tips, or remedies would be helpful. TIA, kt

I have nothing like advice or recommendations except to see a Doctor and be honest with your situation. I am in the field and familiar with dermatolgy and cannot imagine a mechanism other than your body chemistry struggling to regain normal. Since it happened before when you quit it would seem related but again I have not heard personally of this particular reaction.
As I write, however, I recall a lot of itching personally as well as incessant sneezing. The latter I have heard repeated many times on this site. Since itching and sneezing can be allergic type responses then what you have may well fit into such a category.
Either way seeing a Dr. couldn't hurt.
