I have MS and for some reason have a great deal of discomfort in my neck and shoulders. I have been taking hydrocodone for the pain. I want to get of this medication. I have been able to only take 1 1/2 or 2 pills a day. I am terrified of withdrawls and yet I want to go completely off them. Since I am down to 1 1/2 or 2 a day will I still have the severe withdrawl symptoms?

Everyone reacts differently so it is difficult to expect what will happen. However, since you want to come off them, why not just come off them? I can understand your fear of withdrawals, but just remember they are temporary. I also utilized my physical pain as reasons to not come off of my medications, but have realized that it's not as bad as I really thought it was. Good luck!!
