Relying On Faith
Just wanted to share the reading from todays Day by Day devotion:
With our new outlook on life, we find that we are facing new situations with confidence. But are we mistaking confidence for faith? Confidence is from the physical world and faith is from God.
When trials and disasters arise, we realize how powerless we are and our confidence crumbles. Only faith can rescue us. Let us examine ourselves and see whether we are relying on confidence or faith. Do I have enough faith?
Today I ask God to increase my faith and keep me from mistaking confidence for faith, so that I may face life's trials with courage from you.

Yes, only our higher power can be relyed upon, not our confidence. If you can't find your higher power, I mean truely find your higher power, you mine as well not try to get sober yet. Don't just say "ya I got a higher power" cuz the meetings tell you to. You must search deeply for him/her/it. It will come to you.
