After years of oxycontin abuse and a recent intervention by my close friends, co-workers, wife, and parents, it is finally time to stop. I have been wanting to quit for so long, go cold turkey and then cave in once the withdraws kicked in. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I am on day 5 of suboxone and I feel great! I was given 14 8mg pills and the doctor has me on a plan to slowly taper over two weeks. I started May 17 and end June 1.

I have never felt better! I feel alive and like my old self again!

I am also in counseling and attending NA meetings.

Let the journey begin!
