A film recommendation for step 3
A film recommendation for step 3
I am working step 3 and watched "The Pledge" with Jack Nicholson, directed by Sean Penn, on Saturday night. I thought it was too slow moving and lost my patience with it. (Heck, I am used to CSI when the clues just fly by....!)
But after I watched it and started thinking about the film, I thought it was an excellent film for examining step 3.
The film examines a lot of issues about self-will:
Should you make a promise you may not be able to keep?
Can you tell when it is time to quit or should you keep on trying if you truly know you are right?
When should you accept you are only an actor on the stage and not the director?
The film has other characters besides the main character who are excellent examples of self-will gone riot.
Not a fun film at all, but I am very grateful I watched it just at this particular point in my work with step 3.
