It’s amazing (I feel) Kenton really nailed me, although I don’t say a lot on here. I am pretty laid back, as a matter of fact. This sober journey is a strange one; for example, I feel much more anxiety and negativity (especially towards my work) since getting sober. At the same time, I’m accomplishing things And enjoying things that I would never have done were I still drinking every night. But it has shifted for me now....what I used to see as negative or anxiety-provoking situations, I now see as life stuff.
Some of it is not fun....some of it is maddening, and some of it (take covid for example) is just plain stressful.
And then there is the super-hard stuff like coping with death.
Nothing is harder......
But nothing is more empowering than getting through the stress and the whirly bins life sometimes throws us in. GETTING through. Not hiding or running away and getting blitzed. We get through the emotions and do the doing stuff no matter how tough it is.
And then the other parts of life that we have built for ourselves just shine so brightly.

Good morning everyone. 8:12am here in Indiana. Congratulations Suze! Kenton, sorry to hear about your friend.
Today is kind of the calm before the storm with meetings I have to present for the rest of the week. The good news is that I am prepared and no anxiety about them at all. I'll catch up on some work today, practice my slides and be ready to go.
One of my kids is FINALLY going to have a swim meet next week! All the other sports were competing but for some reason swim wasn't allowed to. I guess chlorine isn't strong enough to sway the athletic dept.. I'm excited to see his hard work pay off.
