Gonna give it a go. (I think)
Woke up this morning with no smokes left. I always keep a box of patches around. (Just in case the day comes.)
I figured f*** it let's give it a go.
If you don't hear from me tomorrow then I didn't even make it through today.

now that's funny, I hope to hear from you!
Me too! Today is my last day. Yesterday I was spacing my use out over the day. So after the couple I have left I will be done. I've been wanting to for a while. Yesterday I added up the cost - I can't afford to waste money on tobacco. So the financial crunch has become my biggest motivator. These days 20 bucks means a heck of a lot more than it did a year ago.

Did about as good as yesterday again. I know the best thing to do is just stop cold turkey like the booze. But it seems like I'm giving up the only vice I still allow myself.
I think the idea of going without smoking is worse than the idea of no booze was. Unless that was so long ago that I can't recall it being this bad.
I'll pick up this thread again after I've gone for at least a whole day with no smoking at all.
Thanks.
