What to DO....

Hang in there. Find a meeting to go to, it will pass the time faster. Do not let yourself be alone, find help. If you want help tell me I can get you help.

Drew, you can do it! Check out an AA meeting and tell them you need help.

Also, keep posting on here. You will get lots of support.

I think you are tapped into your addict voice so intensely you dont hear yours. Besides, your voice isnt telling you what you want to hear... STOP DRINKING.

Dont turn that voice off, its crucial to my recovery. However, we have to learn to know when we are speaking and when the addict inside us is in control.

My addict voice tells me everyday 'Living in pain sucks, why do this to yourself? Besides, I miss and love that feeling. C'mon just once.... noone would ever know.

Then I say I would know and go about my business. Im an isolator since becoming clean and sober when I was once a social butterfly. My addict voice tells me all the time I was a much better, more funtional person as an addict. And thats true. But being out isnt as important to me right now as being clean.

Hi Drew,

Good to see you are taking the first steps. AA has helpded me a great deal. Keep going to meetings and find a group that you can go to regularly. Life really seems tough when we first try to get sober, but it does get better.

Hang in there and Welcome.

Jup.
