9 Months Today
I used to be down and out, I didn't know the freedom that existed.\
I lost everything but my life, today I'm learning the meaning of recovery and gratitude and humility, I want to live!!!1
I didn't have the power of choice, I didn't use yesterday, today I can look at myself in the mirror without that oh so powering guilt and shame! Today I have the power of choice!!!!
The promises are starting to come true, how do I know when I'm close to half way through?! lol
I lived in darkness, today I choose to live in the light!!! For 5 months i slept with a light on just to literally stay in the light!!!
I lost my job, my car, my home, my beautiful girls, today I have a job after 4 years, i don't have to go in hung over or call in sick with the 26 oz flu, i have a bus pass, i have a home and actually enjoy being here, my relationship with my daughters is growing stronger every day, One of them is back with me xo
I am learning and growing everyday thanks to recovery and the people and places that cross my path are inspiring me to stay in the light. I have faith in myself, I never thought I'd say that!!!! \\// peace and thanks for being here all!!!!!
As long as I don't pick up today I will stay safe and smilin!!!!!

That is so cool. You have really come a long way. I look up to you and hope to have what you have one day at a time. Congrats and I especially appreciate the fact you were one of the first to respond to me here at SR and gave me so much hope. Thank you so much and congrats on 9 months!

I just love SR!!!!!! I wish i loved housework as much!!!!! Since i found this site its been piling up!!!1 Oh well.....
I went to one of the best meetings last night!!!!! Topics were -patience and aceeptance.
I did do something for myself, I bought a Living Sober book. I used to have one but lost it when i went back out using......
I also bought a web cam, my sister and nieces got to see me for the first time in like 2 years. We all cried.
I have the biggest smile on my face today!!!!!!

mom! mom!! mom!!..holy moly.. 9 months!!!!!!!! :hoo thats amazing and u dont know how proud of u i am.. like more than words can even start to explain.. mom a few years ago i never wudda dreamed that wed be where we are today.. living the life that were living.. being happy and having control of our lives.. u have made such an impact on my life.. you are my saviour, my hero.. thank you.. congratulations and i love you so much!!!

This is so nice you sharing with your mother.
Having a cam is a God Send. When, you have family far away. I went out the 4th of July at midnight and bought a cam so I could chat with my son.
