Keep trudging down that road, Party's over. It is all about forgiving ourselves. And like Best said, the people see the new me, and they look at me differently now. The meetings have saved my life, and given me a whole new group of friends. These people show me love and respect, something I never had while drunk and stoned. Keep coming around, and enjoy this gift we have been given.

Shop around for meetings you like. Do not be afraid of going to AA meetings, I am a drug addict and alcoholic and I found what I liked at AA meetings that had drug addicts (as in pretty much all of them around here). There are also CA meetings, give those a try too. When you find what you like, you will know if you are serious about making those changes and getting that plan in place.
