80 ~ Eighty Days

Today is 80 days and I still want to celebrate. This will be the first time I celebrate 80 days and the last time I will celebrate 80 days, because I am not going to do this again. I am only going to go forward in days celebrated. Bold I know, to say this, but this is how I work. Once I let down my guard I start to get weak. I have had my up's and down's, but I haven't given up because I know that I am feeding the positive and dealing with the problems the best I can at this point of my quit. My attitude is different this day, day 80, and I am feeding it's soul!

And besides, I like starting threads. Like starting a fire, it gives me warmth or it can get me moving fast!

Good going, 424!

When I was very newly sober, I was in a rush to “get better.” I wanted 30 years!!! One of the old timers at my meeting hall said, “We all started with 30 days. I’d trade you my 30 years for your 30 days and do this whole ride over again!”

When your perspective on alcohol shifts, it can shift permanently. When you wake up, you can say, with confidence, “I will never drink or use again.” “This will be my last day 80!”

What a GIFT!!!

Congratulations. Don't let down your guard. Seriously; Stay vigilant. Pay attention to those traps and avoid them.

Thank you everyone for celebrating with me. I agree that a pat on the back is motivating, and mood elevating. Also, here at SR is where we get all the support to lift up and cheer us on. People in everyday life away from here, just don’t feel it like we do here at SR. So thank you.

still traveling 🌎

I have to admit, I am still amazed on how great sober sleep is. Real sleep and waking up refreshed.
