One Year
Just wrapping up my birthday, and my one year sober anniversary. I haven’t posted over the 365 days, but you have all inspired me along the way. Thank you for your wisdom, your stories, your honesty. This is an amazing group of people, each and every one of you.

I remember my first soberversary and how amazed I was that I had made it that far, after so many relapses. One year sober is a fantastic achievement. You should be proud of yourself.

One year is indeed important. From here on, it's just about making a choice to never pick up a drink when the thoughts enter your mind. At one year, you know you have the ability to do this. Recovery is now different. It's not over, but just different. This is where many small and subtle changes in the way you do things start adding up to make life better and better.
I'm sorry we missed the early part of your journey where most of the big shakeups often take place. Maybe you could fill us in with a few of the high points along the way. It's good to have you here.
