Lesson for 2024
Lesson for 2024
Over ten years with SR has taught me a good many things. Just as well, as I am a very slow learner.
Turn 82 Jan 9th 2024 and what with alcohol et al it never ceases to amaze me that I am still here.
As an agnostic I sometimes think that God does work in mysterious ways.
2023 was so-so but Istill imbibed a bit, but nowherelike my crazy youth, mid age or even later.
Still up on 2022 and 2024 is fresh for the making.
CRUNCH ISSUE for some of us, maybe all of us, that alcoholic syndrome, even those so called normies,
is to play with fire, misery or worse.................. Just say'in!!
A very sane, sober and joyful New Year to Dee and all my SR FRIENDS.......KOKO (keep on keeping on)
And don't pick up that first drink
I'll be back!

This is probably the most important part of my quit. The AV tries to tell me, "C'mon, one drink won't hurt you." No, one drink wouldn't hurt me. But one drink would lead to drink number two, four, eight, whole bottle. I am not trying to stop being an alcoholic. I have accepted the fact that I will always be an alcoholic. And all an alcoholic can do is never take that first drink.
Good to see you Bubovski.
Wishing you all of the very best for 2024.
I really like "the obstacle is the path", which I initially read as, "the obstacle is the the pain."
I prefer the path. 🌸
