I do know he is a very sick man. But he makes others sick with his behaviour. He hurts people too much. He doesn't care.

Sorry your family has to deal with this.
Glad your niece is getting better.

Thanks fish.

I started to have reservations about blathering on about my brother. He just made me so angry. So upset it just came tumbling out.

Been trying to work out why I felt so angry. Thinking maybe his behaviour reminds me of my own shortcomings?

Even if this is true fish, I can no longer have contact with him. History will only repeat. Of this I am certain.

It's good to get it out.

Anger is normal.
You are scared for your niece and then have to see his behavior around her.
I'm sure you still love him and it hurts to see him this way. Pain can cause anger.
I get a little upset watching others act as I did also. Nothing we can do but live right going forward.

I have family that act in a way I really have no contact with them anymore either.
It's hard but necessary.

Just keep being there for your niece and living your best life

Thanks fish. I think that's exactly what's happening.

You helped me fish.

We're your friends, Steely - for quite a few years now. I'm very glad you decided to share what's going on. You have to be able to talk about painful things, or it will damage you. Even though there's no magic answer or solution - you've maybe taken some of the sting out of the situation by discussing it. As Fish said - it's good to get it out.

Thanks Hevyn. 💞

There has been relief in the letting go. No longer feel the need to fix him.

He doesnt think he needs to be fixed.

Sad.
