Good afternoon Weekenders.

Best wishes and strengh, Alpine!

It‘s been a nice lazy Sunday afternoon, which is in my book the most enjoyable time of the week to be spending sober. There is still just enough time left to do some small maintenance work in the garden and go for a walk.

It‘s really good to see you posting, Sao. Quite an appropriate week for the return of the Emperor (or is the one on your avatar a King-) penguine chick?

Good luck Alpine!

I missed yesterday's coronation. When I consulted my social engagements diary it turned out I was scheduled to reorganise my sock drawer on the same day. Rotten luck all round.

It's an Emperor Captain although it's a promo from an old film called Happy Feet so a CGI Emperor I guess.

Thank you for all the kind words of welcome, they are much appreciated.

Talking of 'thank you's' what happened to the Thanks button? It had stopped a day or two before I last posted but people said it was only temporary. Clearly not, why was it stopped?

Good to see you Sao! Yeah we have been patiently awaiting the return of the “Thanks” button….last I heard the techs have been working on it.

Fingers crossed here too Alpine!

Sao, All we know is what we've been told by the techies which is that they are working on it. We just need to adapt and carry on at this point.

I'm no techie but 6 months plus for some coding is not the reason we don't have a 'like' button. Whoever manages the site does not think it's users are worth informing of the actual reason.

The people who manage this website give us a free and safe space to support each other. That's a heck of a lot more important than the Thanks button.

It would be normal to relaunch your request with these technicians after a period of six months.
Is it possible Anna and Dee?
Thanks

We have asked, more than once, and that's all we can do. Let's move on, please.

I slept most of today. I am so grateful for Billie snuggling with me at bedtime.

Every day when I wake up I am always grateful to wake up sober.

Sao, I had reorganize my sock drawer too. lol, thanks for the laugh, I have been needing one
Thanks for all of the fingers crossed. It has been quite the challenge.
Nice peaceful weekend with exception to the obvious. I finally finished another quilt top. It took longer than expected due to fatigue and pain on my part..lots of rest breaks. Did not want to goof it up because some parts were a bit more challenging. Nice weather here and sat outside for sort bits. My MIL came over to visit and tell us what kind of bushes we have in our yard, and she inadvertently locked her keys in her car and was parked pretty close to our garage. Luckily Mr. A was able to squeeze his car out to take her to get her spare key. We then had her stay for dinner. Nothing fancy, just grilled hamburgers.
