Thank for…
Hi . I wanted to start a thread of things I’m thankful for and check in on it often and add to it. Feel free to add your things you are thankful for. My things today are: My cat I’ve had for almost 2 decades, pilates, my car, coffee, being sober, this forum.

A lovely idea for a thread!
My amazing family first and foremost are what I’m most thankful for, but coffee for the win too. Caffeine seems to be the only drug I’ve ever had a good relationship with.
I’m thankful for this place too and all the wonderful and kind people who make up this community.
I’m thankful too that even though I have a lot of work to do, my addiction hasn’t killed me and I can see a path out of it.

A job that I love with a generous employer, and that I decided to stop drinking before screwing it up. I am very good at what I do, and am grateful to be appreciated, but working from home made it too easy to start cocktail hour embarrassingly early.
Also grateful that I don't suffer dire physical repercussions when I stop drinking. I just need to stay the course, and am making a list of my triggers and slippery slopes. Ironically, the drive home from work was one, which I need to keep in mind on occasions when I have to go into the office.
Thankful for this community, where I have lurked for far too long.
And AJ, I don't know what you feed your cat so that he or she has hung in there for 20+ years, but congrats... Hope my little one can enjoy such longevity!
