Hello!
Hey guys, I am completely new to this site so I figured I would make a post by saying hello and introducing myself. I am Bre. 32 years young. And I am somewhere around a year and a half clean and sober off of opiates and everything else I struggled with. It feels good. Life is finally happy. I am finally happy. And I cannot wait to see what the rest of my life brings me. I still have a lot of stuff I need to change, as anyone, but at least I am on the way to becoming the better me that I have been so desperately wanting to get out for a long long time now. Although, it also took me 14 long years to get where I am today. I struggled, and I struggled hard. But it's possible. And if I can do it - so can you! Trust me. I can sympathize with active addicts and I know that it's not easy, in fact, it may be one of the hardest things you may have to do. But please, if you are reading this - do not give up!!! You got this, and you can do this!
Great to meet you, Bre. Congrats on your yr. & a half free of it!
At your age I knew in my heart I had a big problem - but I did nothing about it. I went on trying to be a social drinker for many more years, with disastrous results.
Thank you for an encouraging post - glad to have you here.

Welcome Bre to SR. An extra lifeline as I call it to
hold onto, filled with support, love, care and concerns
while building a stronger recovery foundation to grow
your life upon for years to come.
