Day 7 and doing good so far, ok maybe not this moment.
. Working on projects in yard today, and listening to some 80s tunes, that's going fairly well.
But just having thoughts about kicking back with wine.

Zenith - Glad you posted. Very wise to do so when you're tempted. For Day 7 this is normal & to be expected. I was feeling sorry for myself around that time (& a bit disoriented). But overall, I was very grateful to be getting free of it. The healing takes a while, but you will get there. After drinking for decades, it rarely crosses my mind these days. Never thought that would happen. You're doing great - be proud.

Me and my best friend were outside just enjoying the weather and music.
. Her sister died 4 years ago and she's had problems dealing with it.
In fact today she got into an ugly fight and I had to break it up.
. Still even though she has these violent tendencies, I've realized that it's just her nature.
Zenith! (You're saying) your friend seems to have issues. Why are you being a big stupid idiot? Shouldn't she just see a therapist?
Well, she's my cat and the fight she got into was with a little bird. ( I think I saved it tho. Yay!)
. Yes, I'm drunk and signing off. I'll feel more embarrassed tomorrow.
Believe me, I'm not making light of it, I've been thinking about why this happened

Today is a good day to be sober, zenith. Do it for you and your kitty will love you for it. We can't be present for them when we are drinking- one thing to be grateful for in sobriety is taking good care of the animals in our lives.
