I am 1 year and three months sober. The AV has been kicking in a lot saying “you’ve done so good you could have just ONE drink when out with friend”. Most of us know that is not possible and is a slippery slope. I can promise you I am no longer feeling that way. A stomach flu has made its way through my household and it is the first time I have had severe nausea and vomiting since quitting drinking. It has literally taken me right back to when I used to do this to myself! I can’t believe I used to do this to myself and continue to parent and work etc. so glad this is not a self induced illness. Although it’s been a great reminder, I hope it passes soon!
