Day 4 Kindling is real !

Well, as a lot of you have said on here, withdrawal symptoms get worse the more times you go through it ! A hangover used to be a one day affair, then as my drinking got worse maybe two. Now I am on Day 4 and can barely get out of bed I feel so tired and dizzy. If anything, I feel worse than yesterday ! . This is exacerbated by the fact I am FURIOUS with myself for getting in this state AGAIN ! Anyway, am making sure I eat properly and am drinking lots of water. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN !

Kindling is no joke. Especially after a relapse.
Be careful.

Over two years on ICDT, I'll still get phantom hangovers out of the blue. A few days a month I wake up and feel like I've been hit by a train. Such bad memories those episodes conjure. But the fog lifts after a few minutes in the still-asleep-almost-awake world and then sweet relief that it is just my brain still healing and re-wiring.

Hang in there. Wise SR people often point out that it took years to make this mess and it will logically take some time to clean it up.

Yes, I found out the hard way, over and over again, that kindling is no joke. Even when I relapsed after 6 years of sobriety, the first day was like I'd never stopped.

I found out the hard way too Ican. It's a lesson worth learning, and can be what turns the key.

My daughter just readmitted to hospital. Psychotic. I'm glad I don't drink any longer Ican, our kids are worth more than that. Show them what we're made of.

I'm learning to let go. I got kindled on attachment.

Ican great to see you surviving kindling - it is horrible. I hope you are feeling a little better?
