Friends and drinking
Friends and drinking
I know I already posted once today but just wanted to share something.
This time in sobriety, I decided to make it public on social media and to my friends. Since then, I’ve had two of my friends tell me they are stopping now too!!

All in . That's what I call it. I did something similar I told my doctor that I have been abusing my pain prescription medication. It's a very big step in accountability. I'm black listed now no doctor will want that to prescribe me anything. To be honest I still hate the looks I get. Like I'm a addicted criminal. Lol before I came clean with doctor they were going to increase my prescription dosage? WOW
I'm clean 644 days

Hi Jillian,
That took a lot of courage and strength to post on social media. You should be proud of your self for finding the courage to tell other and for them to say that they are following your lead of quitting also. Way to go you.

I wish my hubby would follow. He drank 9 beers last night. It doesn’t really bother me that he drinks, as in, I’m not craving it anymore when he is. But he doesn’t really want to do anything when he’s drinking or sometimes turns into Mr Hyde. Honestly I don’t really want to do anything either until this weather warms up!! Brrrr
Hi,
9 beers in one night seems like a lot. Is this a nightly thing. I know when my wife was trying to get sober. I knew the best thing for her success was to remove all alcohol from the house. I also joined her in giving it up. So I have been alcohol free for 2 1/2 years. Easy for me to not think about it. Not so much for her at first.
As you know this is your journey of sobriety. You should let him know how you feel and that is all you can do. It is up to him to decide the rest.
Congrats again on your time sober. Keep doing it one day at a time. Your awesome and strong for all that you have done.

I think it’s fabulous to be accountable well done!! I made sure to tell people too as i decided it wasn’t something to be ashamed of. When you link shame to it it makes you feel worse which has a knock on effect on how you feel.
I know when I quit my partner didn’t drink in the house as he wanted to fully support on my sobriety journey. We are at a place now where he can have alcohol and it doesn’t bother me in the slightest!
keep going everyone!
