Day 7 - Meh again
So Day 7 is here and I feel Meh again but can’t put my finger on why. But I guess as someone said to me on here the other day, it is a bit like the stock market ie your investments may go down as well as up (maybe this explains why I’ve never had much luck with the stock market!). I didn’t do any work as I had planned (it’s a public holiday anyway so didn’t feel that guilty). Instead I super-cleaned my flat, repotted some plants, dropped soil everywhere so had to clean again ha ha ! Now going to make supper of fairly unhealthy bacon, leeks, mushroom and creamy pasta but don’t care as it will probably fight off the ‘meh’… but in reality there’s nothing ‘meh’ about 7 days right ?
Hope everyone is doing well.

Fantastic job Ican! You're probably feeling a bit "meh" because we have through our drinking caused a lowering of dopamine in the brain (because we over-stimulated the receptors). Hence, for a while we feel meh.. even when sober.. but it will get better in a few weeks to months as the brain re-wires and returns to a normal balance of chemicals. Each day should bring a slight improvement but as it is gradual we often don't notice it until one day.. we feel great! I will also mention that there are natural things that help such as aerobic exercise, delicious food, etc. And you appear to be a good cook, so have at it!

Personally, I feel the 'meh' feeling is because of all the extra time I am getting. The whole process of planning, going out and buying, making a side dish like omelette, actual drinking, then dinner took about 3 to 4 hours.
Now that I have so much time back, it's like a bit boring. But slowly I am filling that time with positive things - going to gym regularly, prepping up for job interviews, helping my wife with loading dishwasher, cutting veggies and spending time with kids. I am also doing 90 second planks 3 times a day to build a strong core. Time to tell my body that I really care about it.
