For a few minutes we had biblical amounts of rain here in London. I guess storm Barra has reached us.

If this weekend was like others, in days gone by, I'd be passed out by now. Likely with lights left on and the house a wreck. And when I came to, I'd have to drink some wine just to stop the shakes I had every morning... What a waste of two years...

Morning Weekenders.

Dan Hartman would have been 71 today. This is a great song (ruined by a boy band called Take That) The video is not very good, it is actually from another track but that's all there is.

It was bad here yesterday too. Thousands are still without power this morning.

Being without power gets old pretty quickly. I hope they can clear lines and make repairs quickly.

Some new Covid 'guidelines' here in England. (not the whole UK) I'm not sure how strictly they will be enforced as there are other issues muddying the waters but I have been wearing my mask and have had 3 vaccines so it might not make a huge difference to me personally.

Is this due to the omicron variant, Sao, and an increase of UK numbers?

I always keep water...about 20L. Also several torches and a small bbq hotplate....not for cooking as much as for coffee.
