Big step accomplished!
Big step accomplished!
I'm 460 days sober and 71 days smoke free!
I'm in the UK and lockdown is lifting a little so we can see people outdoors. So today I went to an old friends for lunch with his GF and my husband. In 20 years of friendship I have never been around this person sober!
it was a biggie because the other 3 were all drinking and smoking which I'd mentally prepared for. I took cake 😄
And I did it! I enjoyed my food and cake, I enjoyed having a clear head, I remember everything, it was good. I left much earlier than normal because my tolerance for sitting around talking rubbish is much lower than when I was a drinker.
and as much as I enjoyed the company, watching them, I was just glad I wasnt doing the same to be honest.
Feeling absolutely over the moon with myself. I really feel like I'm doing this now, like I'm finally the person I'm meant to be.
