I have been sober for one month. The longest I have gone without booze since I was a teenager probably. I am 47 now.
I feel different that’s for sure. In a good way.
Thanks to everyone here for your stories and advice. I read every day.

Congrats! I’m laying in the rack at the conclusion of my 31st day. So I guess I’m at a month as well. Good for you! I wish I would have done it at 47. I went sober for 4 years at in 2013 at 52 and in 2017 at 56, I thought I had it beat and tried a bit of wine. Huge mistake! Well here I am almost 4 years later at 59 and this time I’m gonna make it work. Hang in there and remember, there ain’t any such thing as social drinking for folks like us.
Good going, WestsideGuy. The sober side of the street is one to stay on. 47 eh, still a lot of life ahead of you if you play it right and make yours a Westside story with an upbeat ending. Not like that movie with Natalie Wood and the dancing gang members!
That's awesome @WestsideGuy!
