18 months sober
Hi everyone . I posted here just over a year ago and I havnt had a drink in 18 months .
It’s amazing to be sober . What a gift! What a journey it’s been!
AA is saving my life . The 12step program and the fellowship is helping me to stay stopped. Funny as I use to be so anti AA .

Congrats on 18 months sober!
I am the same way.
I used to rail against AA as a cult.
Now I'm coming up on six months sober and AA helped me a lot. I haven't gone as much as I should because of COVID, but my friends there are genuine.
Let's just be honest. I was an a-hole when I was drinking, and I did what it took to keep drinking. I don't like that person, nor do I ever want to be that person again.
